EXCELLENCE IN EDUCATION
Reading is an extremely important and rewarding educational milestone. This summer we have focused our efforts on ensuring that every upcoming K through 6th-grade students are more than Ready to Read and develop a love for reading and comprehension!
OUR MISSION
The Wright Star Foundation envisions a world where every young person has access to education, and where communities are empowered to thrive through the power of giving back.
The Wright Star Foundation is committed to improving the quality of life for generations to come by providing educational opportunities and giving back to the community. Our mission is to honor the legacy of our grandmothers by sharing our life experiences, instilling the importance of God, and serving as role models for young people. We aim to create a better future for all by nurturing the potential of our youth and empowering communities to flourish.

RISING READERS' HOPE WITH OUR SUMER READING PROGRAM.
We are strong believers in no child left behind. A free intervention program for upcoming K - 6th grade students whose level of reading may not align with the Alabama Literacy Act. Students will participate in learning activities that target specific skill gaps in reading. This program will seek to bridge the gap from a loss of at least two years of education due to covid-19, promote the respect and boundaries in adult/child relationships, teach appropriate behaviors for all settings, provide mentors, introduce special guest speakers, and improve reading curriculum. The participates will receive breakfast , snack, and lunch.
